Currently anchors are named in section order, e.g. #index1h2. It would be nice if the anchor names were not volatile, so external links could reference a specific page section. --jmcneill

I'm quite sure I remember this getting some design discussion upstream. todo/toc-with-human-readable-anchors is all I'm finding at the moment, though. --schmonz
