   ### What happened to NetBSD Desktop Project

Simply put, it didn't take off.

Don't complain. This is volunteer project, and most of us work on it in our free time.

Things to be done:  In addition there's too much controversy around this Desktop Project,
everyone has his own vision of what it should be.

 * Ask [Zafer](mailto:zafer@netbsd.org) to send me a copy of wiki "source" files.  If you want to help with it, you have to work on it yourself.
** He promised to do that long time ago, but never did. And I forgot to remind him.  At last, this is what most of us do with respect to other projects.
** A static mirror used to be at <http://wiki-static.netbsd.se/>.
It seems gone now.  If you have some clear vision what is useful,
 * Review articles  and you understand what you can do about it,
** There were many useless articles that were either trivial or repeated manual pages.  you can try contacting me.
We should filter them out.  All I can promise is some passive help with it, it is all for now,
 * Tell me what is to be removed and what is to be put on this wiki.  but it should be enough for you, if you're really going to help.

 Progress:  Progress:

 * None yet.  * None yet.
   * Wiki page with project ideas vanished. Someone has to dig it out.
